About Us
Jumps & Jingles was founded by Joan Hargrave in 2023, shortly after she retired from teaching Junior Kindergarten. With over 30 years of experience and her Level 1 Orff training, Joanie is dedicated to sharing her love of music with children through songs, stories, and creative movement.

Our Programs
Jelly Tots
6-18 months
(parent participation required)
Join me for a fun-filled half-hour of music, rhythm and rhyme. You and your child will sing along to old classics, learn new songs, dance, and move to the music!
Explore rhythm-making with shakers and scarves, have fun with puppets, and enjoy an entertaining story while progressing through thoughtfully curated, thematic-based lessons.
In this teacher-directed setting, your infant will begin to recognize familiar tunes and make important social connections. Watch as their confidence and coordination blossom!

Jelly Bellies
18-36 months

Jelly Beans
2.5-5 years

Join me for 45 minutes of music, rhythm instruments, and interactive storytelling. You and your child will be introduced to songs and jingles while integrating clapping patterns and imaginary movement.
Interpret the music using shakers, scarves, bells and other rhythmic instruments.
Your child will develop musical, physical, and expressive traits while participating in a teacher-directed setting. Watch their social skills and confidence soar as they progress week to week! This class will provide excellent preparation for junior kindergarten.

The Orff Method
The Orff methodology of teaching music is an integrative approach that incorporates many different kinds of learning elements including singing, dancing, acting, and the use of various percussion instruments.
